Vikings finish season with 9-0 victory

Senior Evan Linett capped off his remarkable career with a pair of victories to lead Hoggard to a 9-0 road victory over South Brunswick on Monday in the season finale for the Vikings.

Linett earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over Noah Pieper at No. 2 singles before teaming with fellow senior Chase Horton for an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles.

A four-year starter, Linett finishes his career with the Vikings in the top 20 in career singles wins (35) and doubles victories (29).

The Mideastern Conference 4A individual tournament will take place on Thursday at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex.
