Vikings top Laney

     Led by seniors Matt Johnson and Blake Hartley, Hoggard downed Laney 8-1 on Thursday to clinch a playoff spot.
     The Vikings (10-3, 8-1) currently sit in second place in the Mideastern Conference, one game behind New Hanover. The two play at New Hanover on April 26.
     Johnson and Hartley both won their singles matches in straight sets and then teamed up to down A.J. Stilwell and Drew Porcelli 8-3 in an entertaining doubles match.
     Hoggard travels to Cape Fear Academy on Friday for a non-conference match.
