Hoggard fall to Wildcats

Posted Friday, April 15, 2011 by Tim Hower

Charlie Opper won his singles and doubles matches, but it wasn't enough, as Hoggard was defeated by New Hanover 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon. The win puts the Wildcats one game ahead of the Vikings in the Mideastern Conference. The two will meet later in the month at New Hanover.
The Wildcats won an early match by the same score, snapping Hoggard's 11-match winning streak against them. The Vikings have won five consecutive Mideastern Conference titles prior to this year.
